Credit Card Surcharge Policy

Effective March 31, 2025, in accordance with Kansas state law and federal regulations, we are implementing a 3% surcharge on all credit card transactions. This surcharge is a percentage of the total transaction amount and helps to offset the fees that we incur when processing credit card payments.

Key Information Regarding the Surcharge:

  • Surcharge Rate: A 3% fee will be added to the total transaction amount for payments made by credit card.
  • Notice of Surcharge: We provide clear and conspicuous notice of this surcharge before the completion of the transaction. The surcharge is disclosed at the point of sale (in-person) or before payment (online).
  • Federal Law Cap: Federal law permits a surcharge of up to 4%. Our surcharge is set at 3%, which is below the maximum allowed.
  • Applicability: This surcharge applies to all credit card transactions, whether conducted in-person or online.

Why Are We Charging This Surcharge? Credit card processing fees have increased, and this surcharge helps us offset these costs while continuing to offer convenient payment options. This adjustment reflects the recent change in Kansas state law that allows businesses to add a surcharge to credit card transactions.

Important Considerations:

  • This surcharge is not applied to debit card transactions or any other form of payment.
  • The surcharge amount will be clearly indicated at the time of purchase.
  • The surcharge is calculated as a percentage of the total sale amount, including applicable taxes.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this surcharge, please feel free to contact us. We appreciate your understanding and continued support.

Thank you for your business!

This policy is in compliance with the Kansas state law that went into effect on January 1, 2025, and follows the federal law requirements regarding credit card transaction surcharges.
