Fire Extinguisher Technician

We are currently seeking a Fire Extinguisher Technician. Beginners are welcome. The qualified candidate will be responsible for installation, inspection, recharge, repair, and service of portable fire extinguishers and exit & emergency lighting. Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines are required. You must be able to work efficiently, be self-motivated, complete all tasks in a timely manner, and possess a positive, outgoing attitude.
Job Duties
- Inspection, Installation, and Service of Portable Fire Extinguishers
- Thorough understanding of NFPA 10, manufacturer, and local fire codes for fire extinguishers
- Emergency & Exit Lighting Inspection & Repairs
- Identifying NFPA 10 Code & Non-Conformance issues
- Maintain proper documentation for all work performed
- Account management and renewal of customer accounts
- Business development of new, past, and current customers
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- A current and valid driver’s license
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be customer oriented
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work overhead, and work varied hours including on-call
- Great work ethic
- Professional appearance at all times
- Able to pass a post-offer drug test and background check
